Whitening
Through teeth whitening, we enhance the color of the teeth, revealing a radiant smile. Whitening can be achieved in two ways:
Whitening in the dental center
This approach uses higher-concentration whitening agents that are activated by light or heat. The entire procedure is performed in the dentistry under the dentist’s direct supervision. Although results may vary, an immediate and noticeable difference is usually observed compared to the initial condition. Over time, additional sessions may be needed to maintain the outcome.
Whitening at home
It is achieved through the use of custom-made intraoral trays and mild whitening materials, which is why it sometimes takes longer than in-office whitening. The patient is provided with a personalized tray, also known as a “mouthguard,” in which the whitening materials is applied. It is used by the patient every night for up to two weeks, for 3 to 8 hours, according to the instructions given by the treating dentist. The process requires regular monitoring by the dentist to ensure safe use.
Often, to achieve the best possible results with minimal financial burden on the patient, a combination of both methods is recommended. At Solomonidis Dental Care, we begin with a clinical examination to assess both the specific issue and the condition of the teeth, as well as their overall potential for whitening. We usually suggest that the initial whitening session take place in our dentistry, allowing us to evaluate the frequency required for each patient’s teeth and determine the strength of the whitening agents that should be used.
During the first appointment, we assess the condition of the teeth, analyze the available data, and collaboratively decide on the most effective and beneficial treatment approach!
Aesthetic Gum Contouring
Through gum contouring, both the function and appearance of the gums are enhanced. Periodontal disease can cause tissue deformation, affecting both aesthetics and oral health. Gum contouring involves the removal of these deformed tissues and the reconstruction of the gums and underlying structures, ensuring improved support for the teeth while also achieving a more natural and harmonious look.
Gum contouring is also used in cases of a “gummy smile,” where a significant portion of the gums is exposed when smiling. A beautiful smile enhances optimism, boosts self-confidence, and improves overall facial aesthetics.

Veneers
Veneers are used to restore or enhance the appearance of the front surface of the teeth. This technique is similar to dental crowns, with the key difference being that veneers require minimal preparation, as only the front side of the tooth is reshaped.
There are two methods for creating veneers:
Direct Veneers
This method is minimally invasive, as the veneers are built directly onto the tooth using composite resin, making it the fastest solution for aesthetic corrections.
However, a drawback of this technique is that over time, due to staining and pigment absorption, the original color of the resin may change or fade, requiring maintenance or replacement.
Indirect Veneers
This method involves veneers that are entirely crafted in a dental laboratory. They are made from various types of porcelain, which makes them more durable compared to direct veneers.
Thanks to their high-quality materials and precision fabrication, indirect veneers offer superior strength, longevity, and aesthetics, making them an excellent choice for long-term smile enhancement.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front surface of teeth.

✔️ They have a long lifespan (10–15 years or more).
✔️ They require minimal grinding of the natural tooth surface.
Ideal for correcting the color, shape, size or position of teeth.
Resin Veneers (Composite Resin)
This is a more economical material, which is placed directly on the teeth by the dentist.

✔️ No grinding is required or minimal.
✔️ They are less durable than porcelain.
✔️ May require repair or replacement within 3–7 years.
Suitable for immediate aesthetic corrections at limited cost.
Emax (Lithium-Disilicate Glass) Veneers
Emax veneers are made of an advanced ceramic material with high strength and aesthetics.
✔️ Very thin and transparent, for a natural result.
✔️ Ideal for anterior teeth.
✔️ Resistant to breakage and stains.
✔️ They offer superior aesthetics compared to traditional porcelains.
Recommended for demanding patients aiming for perfect naturalness.
Feldspathic Veneers
Feldspathic veneers are handmade from highly aesthetic ceramic material.
✔️ They provide the highest possible naturalness and brightness.
✔️ They are thinner than the others, so they require minimal grinding.
✔️ Their durability is slightly less than Emax.
✔️ Excellent choice for aesthetic improvements to protruding teeth.
Suitable for those who desire absolute detail and aesthetic perfection.
Zirconia Crowns and Bridges
They are also known as “all-ceramic” crowns, offering superior aesthetics compared to metal-ceramic crowns.
All-ceramic crowns have an almost natural appearance, as they are semi-translucent and closely match the color and light-reflecting properties of natural teeth. This makes them an excellent choice for highly aesthetic restorations, especially in front teeth, where appearance is crucial.
